Diana Cowpe used to be part of the Dorma Group of Companies. The Mills & Factory were located in Burnley, Lancashire.

The present owners of Diana Cowpe bought the brand from the Vantona Group in the late 90's.

Diana Cowpe are still producing Candlewick & Chenille product on the same looms as they used in the 1930's.

The looms used come from the USA. They were designed by Glen Looper who developed multi-needle tufters which tufts thick yarn onto unbleached muslin and is then cut through the loop. The fabric is then dyed and boiled in large vats to give us the finished Chenille.
